This weekend we celebrated the 50th wedding anniversary of my husband’s parents. In the scale of people I know, my in-laws rank amongst the most interesting, most intelligent, and most accomplished. In the scale of marriages I know, anybody who makes fifty years deserves a party.
So party we did.
All of my husband’s living relatives gathered in our local pub and our home this weekend. Luckily, that number tops out at twenty-six. And I got to bake cakes! Grand Marnier with Dark Chocolate Ganache on the left, and Tiramisu on the right. (My husband’s aunt made the golden roses.)

I invite you all to raise a toast to Jo and Gordon Bennett.

Sounds like a good time was had by all! I’m just pleased that the left-overs will make it into the office tomorrow….mmmmmm
